The following is from interviews with Khon Kijo on the History of Chal and from his personal field diaries during the early days of social structures and economic development of the planet Chal aka Cha'ouw.

Note: the use of the word "children" denotes a translation from Klingon that refers to the early stages of development of those who were experimented on during the project development on Chal. No time and dates are given, this seems to be intentionally done so by the Khon for reasons only he knows.
Spring on Chal
The Children of Heaven are beginning to not only accept their condition of abandonment on this planet but to thrive. I have noticed that several of the children have broken off into other groups with similar interest. Many have displayed an advanced knowledge and ability for understanding various subjects in science, architecture, medicine, mechanics, engineering and martial arts combat training.
I will continue to act as a guide for these children until I am no longer able to do so. I will continue my experiments and review the other scientist notes that I have secreted away. As the last surviving member of the project I fill it is my duty to continue the work we started in the hopes of saving not only the Klingon Empire but these Children whom I have be come so fond of.
Summer on Chal
I have begun to see environmental changes that are subtly affecting the children, they seem to be aging at a much slower pace than would normally take place outside this planetary environment. Though young in appearance they exhibit a wisdom and intelligence beyond years and many decades.
My experiments continue and I have discovered a startling revelation, by introducing various strains of deadly viruses into the local vegetation genes, the children who have consumed the vegetation have become not only immune to the virus but has developed a anti-body that can be separated and injected into the blood stream of any normal non-gene manipulated subjects.
Fall on Chal
The days are full of wonder and exploration, This planet which was once thought primitive and ripe for experimentation has proven to have some hidden secrets of its own. Today I found a large cavern with some sort of ancient writings on strangely carved columns. I will see if the labs computer AI can help me decipher any of these markings.
Winter on Chal
I am starting to loose track of time, my experiments are now taking on a life of their own. Something in the Alien chamber is starting to affect not only my health but also my mind. I have begun to see visions or dreams while awake, and my health grows worse, perhaps it is old age, how many years have I been here now, I can't remember or maybe I don't care. A young female (Klingon-Romulan) mixed breed child-ling has taken to following me around while I explore deeper into the underground caverns of this planet, her group pod calls her Teilani. How is it that I have lost track of when children are born on this planet. I must remember to keep better records.
